FAQ

WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SENT?

All orders placed before 1pm will be dispatched the same day, orders after this will be sent the following working day, if for any reason your order can’t be sent you will receive an email explaining the reason and an eta

HOW WILL MY ORDER BE SENT?

  • Orders under 5-6kg will have the option to be sent by royal mail tracked 48, 24, courier and collection. Orders over this will be courier or collection only
  • The weight limit for our courier is 30kg so your order may be split across several boxes depending on weight
  • Every order will have tracking details which you can log on to your account and view at any time

MATERIAL WARPING

As wood is a natural product it can warp and twist this is due to humidity levels and airborne moisture, to help reduce warping we advise storing in a warm environment, free from damp. If using on a laser cutter we recommend taping/strapping to the laser bed before cutting

CAN I GET A CUSTOM SIZE?

Yes we can cut any of our materials to size, for a custom quote please contact us

WHAT IS LASER CLEANER PRO?

Laser cleaner pro is a specially made cleaner by Cut & Build for cleaning laser machines, it is absolutely brilliant and used by us every day

SAMPLES

You can order every material we sell as a sample, each sample is 75mm square and comes labelled with the material type and code. Packs can be bought from the samples page

CAN I COLLECT MY ORDER?

Yes you can collect from us, within the checkout there is a collection option which removes postage. Our address is Unit H5, Felling Business Centre, Green Lane, Felling, Gateshead, Tyne & Wear NE10 0QH. Once your order is ready you will get an email stating awaiting pick-up, please contact us before collecting

TOLERANCES

CAST acrylic – this means material has a tolerance of +/- 0.2mm. Material can be anywhere between 2.8-3.2mm, this can vary throughout the sheet
Extruded acrylic – tends to be more accurate than cast although slight differences in thickness can occur.
Plywood – the manufacturing tolerance for the thickness of birch plywood sheets are the stated thickness +/- 0.3mm – 0.4mm

All cutting has a tolerance of +/- 1-2mm due to machinery involved

COLOURS

Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, colours/shades may appear different on different monitors than in real life

HOW WE CUT OUR MATERIALS

All wood is saw-cut which can cause a splintered edge, although every care is taken and all sheets are checked it can happen

Acrylic is laser cut therefore will have smooth, polished edges
